This particular camera was left in a car for a few nights without being used, and when the customer retrieved it, it wouldn’t power on anymore. Basically the condensation in the car had caused oxidation to start forming on some of the internal circuits, so oddly enough, we repaired this water damaged Canon 5D that was nowhere near any water.

Thankfully, we were able to clean out the water damage, and use ultrasonic sound waves to remove oxidation from underneath some of the control chips on the main board, and have this particular Canon camera back up and running within 3 hours. Surprisingly, we get a lot of devices in our repair centre that have been left in cars over night, or even on windowsills in houses, causing water damage.
