We’ve all been there; dropped a phone on the ground and cracked the screen. Great fun.

This particular customer dropped his HTC One Mini on the floor, picked it up, realised it was powered off, and couldn’t power it back on. He was under the impression that the phone was dead, no more good to anyone, and it was time to head to a phone shop and replace it. Luckily for him, he decided to call into our repair centre in Cork before buying a new phone, to see if we could retrieve his contacts and photos.

On closer inspection, one of our engineers realised that the phone was functioning perfectly, but the screen was broken, which was why the phone appeared to be off even though it wasn’t.

Two hours later, we are able to hand the repaired HTC One Mini back to a very relieved customer, with a full 6 month warranty. Broken HTC phone?
