This iPad 2, as seen above, was sent to us using our Free Collection Service this week, from lovely County Mayo. The customer explained that the iPad would only work when it was plugged into the charger, and even if the battery is at 100%, as soon as you plug it out, it powers off. The bad luck of it all? He bought the iPad second hand 2 weeks ago. Lovely.

Once one of our engineers opened up the broken iPad, we realised that the battery was in good condition, and that the problem was that there was a small component on the motherboard that wasn’t functioning as it should, causing the iPad to power off when it felt like it.

Happily, we were able to return the iPad to the (extremely relieved) customer as good as new, with a full 6 month warranty.
