As of this morning, the controversial Samsung Note 7 is back on sale with T-Mobile in the UK.

This news will be met with relief for customers that were waiting on the phones release following the battery issues that plagued earlier models. Along with the general release, devices can be exchanged as part of Samsung’s recall program, meaning if there is a trust issue for any customer, you’re not stuck with a replacement model, and can get a full refund. Despite the product recall, reviewers, and users were impressed with the phones features and design, and as it has done for the past several years, it looks like this years Samsung Note will be the yardstick for phablets, including the iPhone 7 Plus.

Unfortunately for Irish customers, there’s no news on when the phone will land on our shores, with reports that some carriers here won’t stock the Note 7 at all, due to the already widely reported problems. At the time of writing, the device is present on the websites of Irish networks, but all have it marked as ‘Coming Soon’ or ‘Out of Stock’. As phone release dates here are usually quite close to the UK dates, we should see them on our shelves soon, if at all.
