Heat, something we don’t get a lot of in Ireland, but something that’s causing a lot of problems with game consoles everywhere. If you’ve heard of the Xbox 360 Red Ring of Death problem, or the Playstation 3’s Yellow Light of Death, then you’ve heard of how heat can cause problems for consoles.

On of the main reasons that the consoles overheat, is due to their fans getting blocked up with dust, and stopping them from working properly. Once this happens, the extra heat can cause damage to the internal components on the motherboard, and usually cause issues with the connectivity of the GPU chip (graphics chip). With both the Xbox 360, and the Playstation 3, a minor design flaw with the positioning of some components plays a big part in all of this.

Thankfully, all of these problems can be rectified by one of our engineers in 24 – 48 hours, with a 6 month warranty.
