The broken iPhone 6 pictured here nearly found it’s way into a bin after some DIY repairs gone wrong. Basically, the customer had broken the iPhone 6 screen, and attempted to repair it himself. The iPhone 6 screen replacement went perfectly, and there was no issue with the fitting of the screen. Generally whenever we see botched repairs here, the part that the repair attempt was focused on is done correctly a lot of the time, but something else is damaged while the phone is taken apart.

In this case, the damaged iPhone 6 didn’t power on after the screen had been replaced, as the customer had damaged the cable connecting the charger port. Thankfully, one of our engineers was able to perform an iPhone 6 data port replacement in a couple of hours, with a full 6 month warranty, getting the iPhone 6 back up and running in no time!
