Bendgate was a phenomenon that was posted all over technology sites when the iPhone 6 was released. Basically, there were a large number of reports of iPhone 6 models being in people’s pockets under normal circumstances, and literally bending from small amounts of pressure. Now, we have repaired a very large amount of smashed iPhone 6 handsets in the past 12 months, and have seen only 4 or 5 broken iPhones with bent housing, all of which couldn’t really be blamed on Apple.

For example, the bent iPhone 6 featured here, was dropped on a concrete floor, and then had an actual weight from some gym equipment dropped on it (happens more often than you would think), resulting in a iPhone 6 smashed screen, and bent housing. Luckily, one of our engineers was able to perform and iPhone 6 screen replacement, and an iPhone 6 housing replacement in a few hours, getting the phone back up and running in no time!
