Apple released the iPhone 7 in 2016 and up until recently, the biggest complaint people had about it was the lack of a headphone jack.  Over the last number of months, we have had customers calling into the store reporting sound issues, generally, the cause has been with the iPhone 7’s audio IC chip.

The picture above is of one of our technicians Davor working on an iPhone 7 that arrived into us from a customer in Westmeath.  The customer reported that their iPhone 7 was having sound issues and wanted to find out why.  Davor began running diagnostics and quickly found the cause of the issue, and that the customer required an iPhone 7 audio IC chip replacement.  Davor was able to perform an iPhone 7 audio IC chip replacement in a few hours.  Once the iPhone 7 audio IC replacement was completed we provided the customer with a 3-month warranty.
