The iPod Classic is my personal favourite of all the Apple products that the company have produced. For anyone that had (or has) a large collection of music, and unpredictable taste (listen to heavy metal, folk music and jazz in the same 30 minutes), the capacity of the memory on the iPod Classic was hard to turn down. To this day, the latest iPhones are on the market with a maximum memory capacity of 128GB, and these come at a premium (iPhone 6 Plus 128GB is €999), and the newer iPod Classic models were available with an amazing 160GB memory.

Now, the downside of all of this, is that the iPod Classic was unable to use flash memory to store all this data, and instead had to use a hard disk drive. Basically, the memory in the iPod Classic has moving parts in it, and is a lot closer to the memory in a laptop, than it is to the memory of an iPhone. The problem with this is that a hrd disk dirve, or HDD, is not the ideal format for a device that will get moved a lot, so many iPod Classics needed to have these replaced every few years. Thankfully, if this is the case, the HDD can be replaced by one of our engineers, with a full 6 month warranty
