Some broken Playstation 4 consoles have steadily started drifting in the door in the past few days, which is a common occurance for consoles at this time of year, and happens because of two things. First, the Christmas period is a huge time for the release of new Playstation 4 games, and these generally are the most graphically advanced as they can be on a Playstation 4. This is great news, meaning new games are getting better and better (graphically) as time goes on, but the downside of this is that they place added strain on the hardware of the console, in particular the PS4 GPU chip.

The second reason that some many damaged PS4 consoles come in just after Christmas is that they tend to be overworked at this time of year; schools are closed, people are off work, and the weather isn’t exactly pleasant. This further adds to the woes of the PS4 GPU problem, resulting in what happened to the faulty PS4 featured here; the Playstation 4 would no longer power on.
